About me
I am completing my 18th year as a school counselor in southern Indiana. I have 3 years of experience in a K-12 school and 15 years in mid-size rural public high schools. In my current role at Southridge High School I am an academic counselor and test coordinator. I am on the RECN school leadership team, the RECN state-wide Counselor leadership team (CART), and we are participating in the Indiana Connectedness Project (ICP). I feel very blessed to work in a school that has 2 counselors, a 3rd career counselor, and a full-time social worker.
In addition to my counselor roles I am also the Kindness + Key Club sponsor, and I am excited to lead my first travel club adventure through EF, leading 33 on a trip to London, Paris, and Rome in summer 2027.
I live in Holland, IN with my husband Ryan and our 3 children. Well, make that 4 --we are currently hosting an exchange student from Germany.
I am a proud graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology, minoring in Gender Studies, and a Masters Degree in Education in School Counseling. Go Hoosiers!
To recharge I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, watching documentaries or jeopardy, listening to NPR, lounging in my hammock by the lake, or enjoying the beach!
